Close the app, wait 15 to 30 minutes and try again.
Step 2: if it's only you, try these fixes
Work through these in order, testing after each one.
- Switch network. Move from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or the other way round.
- Turn off your VPN or ad blocker for character.ai, since some block the chat connection.
