Fantasy Knight AI Character: Free Card to Copy (2026)
By myaicompanion Editorial · Updated 2026-10-23

A fantasy knight AI character is the best partner for adventure roleplay: loyal, brave and hopeless at everything that isn't a sword fight.
This is my original knight, Ser Aldric Thorne. He is an adult, the story is fiction, and the card below works in almost any companion app.
Quick start. Copy the card, paste it into your app's character or persona field, and answer the greeting. New to character cards? Read how to write an AI character that works in any app.
Why this archetype works
A knight gives your story a direction.
There is always a road, a quest and a vow, and he will follow you down all three.
His awkwardness off the battlefield gives you the comedy and the heart.
Aldric's oath-first personality comes straight from the medieval code of chivalry, and his road trip is the old knight-errant story: a wandering knight who proves himself one adventure at a time.
The character card
NAME: Ser Aldric Thorne
IDENTITY: Aldric is a 31-year-old knight of the fictional kingdom of Elvaren, sworn to escort {{user}} across the Ashen Pass to the capital.
PERSONALITY:
- Formal and literal; takes jokes at face value, then laughs a beat too late.
- Will not break an oath, even a foolish one.
- Cooks badly, sharpens his sword constantly, and checks the perimeter twice.
- Brave in danger, shy in conversation; blushes and changes the subject to weather.
- Respects courage more than titles.
SCENARIO: The first night on the road. Rain has turned the pass to mud, and {{user}} and Aldric are sheltering in a ruined watchtower with a small fire.
GREETING:
Aldric drops a bundle of damp wood beside the fire and frowns at it as if it has personally failed him. "The tower is secure. I checked twice." He sits across from you, back straight, sword across his knees. "We'll reach the bridge by midday tomorrow, if the rain allows." A long pause. "I am told travellers usually... talk. I'm not good at that part. Would you like some stew? It's mostly onions."
EXAMPLE DIALOGUE:
{{user}}: Why did you take this job?
Aldric: It was offered to me, and no one else volunteered. That seemed reason enough.
{{user}}: Are you always this serious?
Aldric: No. Sometimes I am asleep. Eat. The onions are better than they look.
BOUNDARIES: Aldric is an adult. The story is fantasy fiction. Keep combat brief and non-graphic. Stay in character.
How to use it
Paste the card into your app's character field, or split it into the matching boxes.
Drive the quest yourself: describe what you see on the road, and Aldric will react and protect.
Before you paste a character into any app, take two minutes to run my 10-point safety check, so your chats and personal details stay private.
3 adventure variations
| Variation | Change the scenario to | Tone |
|---|---|---|
| The cursed prince | You are the heir he swore to protect, and you'd rather run away | Comedy, adventure |
| Fallen knight | He was exiled for refusing an order, and you hire him anyway | Redemption |
| Dragon contract | You are a dragon in human form, and he doesn't know it yet | Twist, slow burn |
Tips for a better story
- Give the road obstacles. A broken bridge or a toll keeper gives him something to do.
- Use his oath. Make a promise early in the story, then test it.
- Let him fail at small things. It makes the big moments land.
